Obituary for Alice Mulrenin

Alice Blair Mulrenin, of Brooklyn NY, passed away peacefully on September 7, 2020.

Born in New Jersey, but raised in New York, Alice was a true Brooklynite. Alice spent 80+ years in Bay Ridge, where she met and married her husband, Bill, and raised four children, Bill (Christine), Barbara, Eileen (Mac), and Bob. Known to family as "Green Grandma," she cherished time spent with loved ones, especially her grandchildren, Brenna and Ryan.

A devout Catholic, Alice was a faithful patron of St. Patrick's Church. In her younger years, Alice enjoyed traveling near and far with family and friends. When she couldn't travel, she regularly got lost in a good book, tearing through mysteries from the local library and searching for new arrivals week after week. She maintained close relationships with her childhood friends and siblings, regularly carving out time for phone calls with those near and far.

Alice is pre-deceased by her father Joseph, her mother Alice, her loving husband Bill, her beloved brothers Joe and Vin, and her daughter-in-law Chris. She is survived by her children and grandchildren, son-in-law Mac, dear sister Pat and sister-in-law Arlene, and many nieces, nephews and godchildren.

Alice was a wonderful mother and grandmother, devoted to her family until the very end.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center. Alice was a strong supporter of MSK because of the wonderful care they gave her husband during his battle with cancer. You can donate here: https://giving.mskcc.org/donate-now
