Ann Marie O’Farrell (nee Murphy)

Beloved mother of her children: Andrew, Monica, and John and their spouses Kathleen, Charles, and Mary. Beloved grandmother to Terence, Kathryn, Claire, Delia, Gavin, Meghan, Matthew, and Jacqueline. Beloved sister to Robert, Joseph, Patrick, and John Murphy, and their lovely spouses/partners and children/grandchildren. Ann was a life-long resident of Bay Ridge, Brooklyn, NY and a graduate of Saint Joseph's High School, Saint. John’s University and Long Island University. Ann began her professional career as a high school teacher at Saint Joseph's High School and then became a full professor at CUNY New York College of Technology. During her more than thirty years of tenure at CUNY, Ann served as Chairperson of the Secretarial Science Department and Assistant to the Dean of Business and Hospitality. She retired in 2003 with the title of Professor Emeritus. During her career, she was an active member and chapter president of Soroptimist International and other professional organizations. Ann was also an active parishioner of Our Lady of Angels Roman Catholic Church in Brooklyn, NY where she served on the parish council board and many civic committees. Ann will be dearly missed.
