Anthony (Tracy) Nocera was born on May 15th, 1929 to Mary and Carmen Nocera, the 5th of five children in Brooklyn, NY where he lived his whole life. He left us on January 31st to join Doris, who he was fortunate to spend twenty-nine wonderful years with, and had three amazing sons, Michael, Anthony, and Gerard.
He was Dad, Papa, Great Papa, Big Papi, Uncle Tracy, Brother, Cousin, and Friend, and the last surviving elder of an amazing generation born in a depression era, but all managed to have the most optimistic views of life. He was predeceased by Doris, and much later, Fran, his companion of twenty-five years.
Anthony’s legacy includes his children, Michael, Tina, Anthony, Kenny, and Gerard. His grandchildren, Michael, Jessica, Noelle, Mitch, Gregory, Melinda, and Gerard Philip, and his great-grandchildren Matthew Anthony, and Lily June.
Services will be held at McLaughlin & Sons Inc. 9620 3rd Ave. Brooklyn, NY 11209 on Friday, February 5th 4pm to 8pm.
