Obituary for Cecelia Gahagan (Egan)
Ceil Gahagan (Egan) was a lifelong native of Brooklyn, NY and a member of Immaculate Heart of Mary parish since 1959. Her and her husband, Mike who predeceased her on March 4, 2005 had three children James, Elizabeth and Cecelia and she had five grandchildren, Sean, Brian, Colin, Christine and Lauren. She loved her family, cared deeply for her friends and had a deep and abiding faith.
Ceil was an active member of IHM parish. She was an officer in the Home School Association for many years and was Chairwoman of the Bazaar Chance Book Drive for 19 years, which was a major fundraiser for IHM School. For the last 16 years Ceil had been President of the Golden Age Club, organizing trips and dinners for the parish senior citizens.
