Obituary for Mary T. Bianchi

Mary T. Bianchi entered God’s eternal kingdom on Friday, December 18, 2020. Born on September 10, 1934, she was the youngest child of immigrant Italian parents, Fileno and Eda Bianchi, and was a lifetime Brooklyn resident. She now joins her parents and siblings, Salvatore, Joseph and Rosaria in heaven. Mary’s early childhood was filled with not only the love of her parents and brothers and sister but also the love of aunts, uncles and many cousins. Mary earned her college degree in chemistry from CCNY. She was truly passionate about her career -- first as a technician with Downstate Medical Center then as an analytical chemist in the crime lab with NYPD. Mary was a world traveler and enjoyed exploring and understanding new and different cultures. Her travel partners were always her sister, Rose, and often-close friends. She captured these travels through her extensive photographs. Mary was especially fond of her many trips to Italy visiting extended family. In addition to the sacred titles of daughter and sister, she also held the title of beloved aunt, great-aunt, and great great aunt. Aunt Mary was always ready for an outing or an adventure. She offered her nieces and nephews opportunities to share her love of travel, music and fine and theater arts. Time spent with Aunt Rose and Aunt Mary was always wonderful! Mary was a beautiful person with a heart full of unconditional love, compassion, kindness and generosity. While her physical presence is gone, her love will always remain in our hearts. Mary leaves behind her nieces, nephews and friends to forever cherish her memory. At Mary’s request, there will be no wake or visitation. A Funeral Mass will be offered at St. Matthew Catholic Church in Charlotte, North Carolina. Inurnment
at St. John’s Cemetery in Middle Village will take place in the spring.
