It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Regina Marie Cronin on Sunday, April 26, 2020. She was a devoted sister and sister-in-law to Robert and Joyce, James and Debra, and Edward and Mary Ann, a loving aunt and godmother to many, a cherished cousin, great friend to many more. She dedicated her life to helping people, spending her entire career at Lutheran Medical Center in Sunset Park, Brooklyn. Starting as a candy striper, she became a registered nurse, eventually running the emergency room, then worked as an administrator, before finally retiring as a case manager. She brought that same caring to her personal life, where she was always ready to organize a family birthday or memorial day parade, loved to dress up and have a lot of good laughs especially for the children, and also to go out with the girls. She reminded us all to enjoy every moment, and she will be greatly missed.

Dear Regina,
Ever the consummate RN and Administrator at Lutheran Medical Center, you were always a great inspiration to those of us who worked in the healthcare field. You have been in my prayers and those who were lucky to know you will continue to remember your goodness and your great strength especially during your illness. May Our Lady of Perpetual Help have you in Her arms as you are now in Heaven and at peace with Our dear Lord. You will be missed greatly by many. God rest your soul and may you rest in Eternal Peace. With deepest sorrow, Ann and Philip Carraher and Mary Stuart

My Wife & I would like to extend our Thoughts and Sympathies on the lost of Regina.
We knew her thru our work in Lutheran Medical Center since the Middle of the 1970's.
We knew of her illness when we met her when my Father and Her happen to be receiving treatment together on the same day in 2015. But like always she was so genuine and smiling when she came over to my dad and showed her care and concern about him. But we equally were concerned that Regina was too ill.
We will always remember Regina and all the good she shared with those she was concerned about thru her Nursing Career.
May Eternal Rest be granted Unto Her O Lord, May She Sleep in Peace....Amen...

Dear Regina,,,,you were truly my best friend and confidant. We always had each other’s back.
I have so many great memories of vacations, dinners, weekends at the shore and so much more. How I will manage without you and your advice I don’t know. You fought hard and long and NEVER complained. You were a great friend and mentor to many. I can only hope you knew how much you meant to me. Love you,,,RIP. Until we
meet again,,,,Cathie. Or as you called me Schmidtkins
