Obituary for William A. Spieth

William A. Spieth, 81, died on December 21, 2020, at the Calvary Hospice in the Bronx, NY.
He was born October 2, 1939, in Flushing, NY, the son of William A. Spieth and Ann (Pletscher) Spieth.
Bill served in the Army, 1962-1964, then became a teacher of business subjects at Erasmus High School, Brooklyn, NY.
Surviving are his loving wife of 42 years, Maureen (Ahern), and his daughters: Karen Horel and her husband William, of Brewster, NY, and Margaret Gagliano and her husband Peter, of Oceanside, NY.
Bill was a devoted "Pop" to his grandchildren: Cassidy, Madelynn, William Colin Horel, and Nathan Peter Gagliano.
He is also survived by his brother Lawrence Spieth and his wife, Ann, of Winnetka, IL; and many nieces and a nephew.
A wake will be held at the McLaughlin and Sons Funeral Home, 9620 Third Avenue, Brooklyn, on Sunday, Dec. 27, 2pm-6pm.
A Mass will be said on Monday, Dec. 28, at Our Lady of Angels Church, 7320 Fourth Avenue, Brooklyn, NY, at 10:30 am.
In lieu of flowers, a donation to the American Cancer Society or the Visiting Nurse Service of NY, would be appreciated.
